Haddonfield High School Softball Team Makes State Tournament

Haddonfield, NJ -- The Haddonfield High School softball team has a big mountain to climb, but it’s in the running for a South Jersey title.

The Bulldawgs are the No. 12 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs, according to the bracket posted on nj.com on Tuesday.

Haddonfield will visit No. 5 Overbrook in the first round on Monday, May 23. The winner faces the winner of the game between No. 4 Cinnaminson and No. 13 Medford Tech.

The semifinals are scheduled for May 31, with the finals at Kean University on June 3.

Overbrook (9-7) defeated Haddonfield (6-10), 5-2, on May 10. Sophie Maccarone was 2-for-3 for Haddonfield in that game.

Haddonfield recently snapped a six-game losing streak with a win over Willingboro, and is 3-2 since.
