Haddonfield To Hold Candlelight Procession In Honor Of Martin Luther King Jr.

There will also be a program in which students who participated in the essay contest will be honored.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Haddonfield will hold its Martin Luther King Day Observance on Monday, Jan. 16, beginning with a brief candlelight ceremony on the steps of Borough Hall at 7 p.m.

The commissioners, boy scouts and members of the Human Relations Commission will then lead a candlelight procession down Kings Highway and back to Borough Hall, borough officials said this week.

The ensuing program will recognize MLK Student Essay participants, beginning at about 7:15 p.m. Refreshments will be served and the event is open to the public.

Borough Hall is located at 242 Kings Highway East. Members of the public are asked to begin gathering at 6:45 p.m.
