Haddonfield Library Grand Reopening Set For Sept. 17

There will be a day full of activities to celebrate the grand re-opening of the library.

Haddonfield, NJ -- The recently renovated Haddonfield Public Library will hold its Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The celebration includes a day full of activities, including:
  • Multi-generational trivia contest (30 min, Children’s Program Room), 10 a.m.;
  • 3D Printer demonstration (30 min, Library Classroom), 11 a.m.;
  • Children’s documentary screening (1 hour, Children’s Program Room), 11:30 a.m.;
  • Visit from Haddonfield-based award winning illustrator Robert Byrd (30 min, Children’s Program Room), 12:30 p.m.;
  • Adults’ documentary screening (90 min, Library Classroom), 1:30 p.m.;
  • Post-millennial trivia contest (30 min, Library Classroom), 3 p.m.;
  • 3D Printer demonstration (30 min, Library Classroom), 4 p.m.;
  • A raffle for signed Dan Gutman books;
  • Game Frenzy will be on site teaching/playing strategy games in the Teen Commons;
  • Get creative with the library’s button-maker (all day in the 1st floor tutor area) and temporary tatoos (5 p.m. on the lawn in front of Library);
  • Giant classic games like Connect Four and Checkers will be available all day on the front lawn;
  • Food Trucks will be on site: Cupcakes 2 Go Go, Sweat Pea Ice Cream, Whole Hog, and others; and
  • A family movie screening under the stars in front of the library (title TBD, weather permitting).
