Haddonfield Resident Nominated for Reappointment to BPU

Richard S. Mroz was named president of the board last year.

A Haddonfield resident was nominated for reappointment to the Board of Public Utilities by Gov. Chris Christie on Monday.

Richard S. Mroz was nominated by Christie to serve as a commissioner on Sept. 18 of last year, was approved by the Senate on Sept. 22. He became President of the Board on Oct. 6.

He served as Camden County Counsel from 1991-93 before former Gov. Christine Todd Whitman added him to her cabinet upon inauguration.

He has also served on the Commission on White House Fellows under former President George W. Bush in 2007, and Christie named him Commissioner of the Delaware River and Bay Authority in 2012.
