Haddonfield Schools Hosting Online Forum On Race In Education
Haddonfield will host a virtual town hall meeting about how race impacts the experience of students, faculty and staff, and the community.
HADDONFIELD, NJ — The Haddonfield Public School District will host a virtual town hall meeting about how race impacts the experience of students (current and alumni), faculty and staff, and community members at 6 p.m. Monday, the district announced.
“Our goal is to hear about the experiences of our community and ask questions that will guide our future work,” school officials said in a statement. “This is an opportunity for key stakeholders in our school district community to engage in open, honest, and productive dialogue. We believe that this type of engagement will help to impact lasting change and the best possible outcomes for our community.”
Dr. Shelley Zion, Professor of Urban Education at Rowan, will lead the meeting. Zion has been working with district administrators, teachers and staff for two years.
