Haddonfield Schools Provide Update On Construction

HADDONFIELD, NJ — With one month to go before the first day of school, the Haddonfield Public School District provided an update on its ongoing referendum projects on its webpage.

All Haddonfield schools will be open for the first day of school, which is set for Monday, Sept. 11, according to a letter posted on the school district’s website. However, the high school’s “B” wing and stadium will be closed, and air conditioning work is expected to finished by the spring.

On-site parking will not be available for parents or students during the 2017-18 school year. School principals will provide information about student drop-off and traffic patterns before the start of the new year. Staff will be notified of their parking situations by Monday, Aug. 25.

“The Board of Education’s goal for this two year project is to deliver the highest quality work, under budget with minimal inconvenience to the learning environment and the community as a whole,” the school district said in the letter. “As anticipated, we are finding differing underlying conditions and surprises as we proceed. However, with the help of thorough planning and good professionals, we are adjusting and meeting the demands on schedule and within budget.”
