Haddonfield Woman Shares Touching Photo Of Late Husband With Son

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Amy Shaw recalled the weeks leading up to her husband's passing in 2015. Specifically, she remembers the way Jack interacted with their son, Aidan, during his final days.

Jack Shaw passed away in May of 2015. He was an inpatient at Jefferson Hospital for two months, during which time he wanted to be able to do some writing on his computer. The picture she provided depicts their 16-year-old son Aidan, then a high school senior, setting it up for him.

"It is certainly a bittersweet photo, but I love that both are smiling and trying to make this work despite the situation," Amy Shaw wrote in an email. "I also had a wonderful evening with them in the hospital during which the two animatedly discussed Shakespeare and Jack helped Aidan memorize lines for his high school Shakespeare class."
