Haddonfield To Wrestle For South Jersey Title Friday Night

The Bulldawgs will face West Deptford for the South Jersey Group 2 title after downing Oakcrest, according to nj.com.

HADDONFIELD, NJ - The Haddonfield Memorial High School wrestling team will compete for a South Jersey title Friday night.

The second-seeded Bulldawgs defeated No. 3 Oakcrest,45-31, to advance to the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 final, according to nj.com.

Haddonfield saw pinfall victories from Ryan Bolletino (132 pounds), Ben Siok (138 pounds), Declan Skelly (152 pounds), Luke Benedict (160 pounds), Sean Ellery (170 pounds) and Matthew Pinsky (heavyweight).

In the quarterfinals, Haddonfield defeated No. 7 Haddon Heights,63-15, according to nj.com.

Haddonfield will visit top-seeded West Deptford in the final on Friday night, Feb. 8, 7 p.m. The winner competes in the state championship tournament in Toms River this weekend.

The two teams wrestled on Jan. 30, with West Deptford coming away with a 44-30 win, according to nj.com.
