The sold-out event honored Camden native Monsignor Robert McDermott (“Father Bob”), who has spent 30 years advocating for the City of Camden and its residents. Supported by Presenting Sponsors Lourdes Health System and The Domenica Foundation, and Platinum Sponsors The Kennedy Companies and Brown & Connery, the Gala raised $160,000 to benefit the many programs Father Bob has created and led to transform the lives of thousands of Camden residents.
As a pastor in Camden, Father Bob has devoted himself to serving those in need by launching numerous ministries to meet the needs of his neighbors in a city in decline. His philanthropic endeavors include saving an elementary school from closing, reorganizing the Child Development Center, and creating four new ministries, including the St. Joseph’s Carpenter Society, L.U.C.Y. Outreach, Romero Center Ministries, and Joseph’s House.
