CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — When all eyes are on Churchill Downs, Camden County will have several ways to celebrate the most exciting 2 minutes in sports.
The Kentucky Derby takes place Saturday. Events in Camden County marking the occasion will include the Down & Derby Wine Festival at Cooper River Park, plus Derby Day at Haddon Square.

Down & Derby Wine Festival
Saturday, 2-7 p.m., Veterans Island on Cooper River Park

Immerse yourself in Derby-themed fashion and enjoy samples from South Jersey's leading wine producers. The celebration will feature music from Secret Service Band, plus food and games.
This year's festival will feature a larger site with extra space to enjoy wine tasting, plus more food options. Tickets cost $35 for general admission, $75 for VIPs and $15 for designated driving. Get tickets and see participating wineries.
Derby Day At The Square
Saturday, 1-10 p.m., Haddon Square
Haddon Township will also celebrate the Derby in style, with a full day featuring live music, a beer garden and raffles.
The event will also feature a live broadcast of the Kentucky Derby. Although NBC will cover the derby throughout the day, the race is set to begin at 6:57 p.m.
Central Tacos and Tequila is sponsoring Derby Day in Haddon Township, with all proceeds benefiting the Haddon Township Education Foundation.
