Haddonfield Attorney Joe Murphy Recognized Professionally in Brazil

Local attorney recognized for his professional accomplishments & slated to speak at an international summit in Brazil

Joseph E. Murphy, a Haddonfield-based attorney with a global reach, was named by the National Law Journal as a Trailblazer and Pioneer in Governance Risk and Compliance. He was one of only 50 professionals selected internationally.

Editor of the National Law Journal Scott Pierce wrote that those attorneys honored “have truly moved the needle in facilitating the changing ways that law firms conduct business toward governance, risk and compliance.”

Murphy, who is a consultant with Compliance Strategists, also acts as the director of Public Policy at the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (www.corporatecompliance.org), a professional membership organization that champions the compliance and ethics profession. In July, Murphy made the cover of SCCE’s magazine in an interview in his role as the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Rutgers Center for Government Compliance and Ethics. The Rutgers Center provides resources and guidance for government agencies in instituting compliance and ethics programs. (The cover photo was shot by Haddonfield photographer Colette Oswald.)

The seminar will be an opportunity to assemble the international and Brazilian competition communities to discuss the relationship between competition law and policy and corporate compliance initiatives.
