Man Accused Of Bank Robbery In South Jersey Has Been Caught

He was arrested 2 days after the robbery, authorities said.

BRIDGETON, NJ — A man accused of robbing a South Jersey bank last week was identified and arrested.

Bunky Chirichello robbed TD Bank in Bridgeton on Tuesday, police said. He was arrested two days later and charged with robbery (first-degree), conspiracy to commit robbery (first-degree) and terroristic threats (third-degree).

Chirichello, 57, of Wanaque in Passaic County, entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, police said. He then grabbed a bag of money from behind the counter and fled the South Laurel Street bank on foot, according to law enforcement.
