Man Arrested In Daytime Home Burglary In Haddon Township: Police
A Camden man was confronted by the homeowner when he broke into his home during the day on Sept. 9, police said.
HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Camden man has been arrested in connection with a daytime burglary in Haddon Township, police said.
Derek Gilmore, 56, is accused of breaking into the home during the day on Sept. 9, according to Haddon Township police.
While in the home searching for valuables, he was confronted by the homeowner on the second floor, police said. Gilmore fled the home and escaped the area on a bike, police said.

Detectives were able to identify Gilmore as the culprit with the help of video surveillance, police said. Police found him in Camden, and arrested him without incident.
He was charged with burglary and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing.
