Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Haddon Road Rage Incident

Police say 26-year-old Steven Brindis shot out the driver's side window and assaulted another driver.

HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Pennsauken man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a road rage incident in Haddon Township, police said. Steven Brindis, 26, is accused of shooting at another driver at close range following a road rage incident that took place on Route 130 back on Nov. 26, according to the Haddon Township Police Department. The shots missed the person he was targeting, but hit that person’s steering wheel and dashboard.

Area surveillance cameras revealed that Brindis shot through the driver’s side window, cleared the rest of the remaining glass, then assaulted the victim, police said. The victim was eventually able to drive away, once traffic cleared, and Brindis was last seen fleeing the area in his car, north on Route 130, police said. Police didn't say what events lead to Brindis's alleged actions.

On Dec. 4, Camden County police stopped a car in the area of Broadway and Washington Street, based on information they received from Haddon Township police. Haddon Township detectives responded to the scene and arrested Brindis, who was then taken to the Haddon Township Police Department for further investigation.
