Man Fatally Shot Overnight In Camden, Incident Under Investigation: Prosecutor
The victim, 22, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital a few hours after the incident, authorities said.
CAMDEN, NJ — A shooting that killed a man early Thursday morning in Camden is under investigation, authorities said.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert for gunfire just before 1 a.m. around the 1000 block of Atlantic Avenue, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO). Arriving officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at Mount Ephraim Avenue and Thurman Street, authorities said.
The victim — Tyquan Eason, 22, of Camden — was brought to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, the CCPO said. He was pronounced dead at 3:14 a.m. Thursday.
