Man Stole Items From Haddonfield Vehicles: Police

The suspect was caught in a resident's backyard, authorities said.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — A man has been caught after stealing several items from vehicles in Haddonfield, officials said Thursday.

On Wednesday night, Haddonfield police received several calls from residents in the borough's Fargo section about a suspicious person entering vehicles and stealing items. Police apprehended him in a resident's backyard.

William Trainor, of Blackwood, was charged and remanded to the Camden County Jail. The recovered items are being returned to owners, police said.

Borough police reminded residents to lock their vehicles and garage doors.
