Nandini Natrajan, Ph.D. Joins Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Board
Dr. Nandini Natrajan appointed to the volunteer Board of Trustees of Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice
Nandini Natrajan, Ph.D. of Marlton, NJ has been appointed to the volunteer Board of Trustees of Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, announced the not-for-profit’s President/CEO Mary Ann Boccolini.
Dr. Natrajan is chief microbiologist for Keystone Foods, a global food processing company based in West Chester, PA. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the area of food safety and risk mitigation.
Dr. Natrajan holds a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Bombay, India, an M.S. in Food Science from the University of Delaware, Newark, and a Ph.D. in Food Microbiology from North Carolina State University, Raleigh.

She sits on research advisory committees for various trade organizations related to public health and food safety. Additionally, she was appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture, USDA, to serve two terms on a national advisory committee working on control strategies for reducing foodborne Norovirus infections.
Locally, Dr. Natrajan is a community board member on Virtua’s Quality and Safety committee. She will continue to serve on Samaritan committees for Quality and Policy and Diversity and Inclusion.

Reflecting on her board appointment and the hospice care her husband received from Samaritan in 2015, she said, “The honor is mine. It is one that will allow me to carry on with (husband) Ravi’s legacy. If we can help others have a dignified final journey, it would be a life well lived, wouldn’t it?”
