
A new year and a new board of directors for the Haddonfield Republican Club. On Wed., Jan. 8, Haddonfield Mayor Jeff Kasko gave the oath of office to the newly elected board members for the 2014 term.
Winston Extavour, a local Haddonfield attorney, was elected president of the club. Fred Willis was sworn in as vice president, Chris Lenny is secretary and local businesswoman and owner of Jersey Java, Mary Burke is treasurer.
The board decided to begin a blog on the Patch to provide views and facts regarding energy, healthcare, the Tea Party, immigration and other topical items that play a role in the life of everyone on a local, state and national level.
Club president Extavour will take the lead on immigration, vice president Willis will head the energy portion of the blog, Chris Lenny will share news from the Tea Party and member Doug Leonard will bring current healthcare matters to the forefront.
The Haddonfield Republican Club meets the second Wednesday of each month except July and August. The Feb. 12 meeting will be a club social at a member's home celebrating Abraham Lincoln, the nation's first Republican President.
