NJ American Water Plans $90K In Upgrades For Haddonfield

A new water main will be installed and other upgrades will be made this summer, according to the water company.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — New Jersey American Water will install approximately 330 feet of new water main in its Haddonfield service area this summer, the water company announced this week. The new 12-inch ductile iron main will be installed along West Redman Avenue from West Crystal Lake Avenue to 771 West Redman Avenue.

One fire hydrant and two utility-owned service lines along the pipeline route will also be replaced as part of the $90,000 project, which is designed to help continue to improve water service reliability and increase water flows for household consumption and fire protection, according to New Jersey American Water.

Pioneer Pipe Contractors will begin work on the project by the end of June and expects to finish by the end of October, weather permitting. Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Final street restorations will be completed in the fall of 2019.
