Norcross to Deliver Keynote Speech During Pearl Harbor Remembrance in Camden
The event is Friday morning, 10 a.m.

Rep. Donald Norcross (D-1) will join the freeholder boards from Camden and Gloucester counties in a wreath laying in the Delaware River to mark the 73rd anniversary of the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor.
The wreath laying takes place on Friday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m., on board the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial, 62 Battleship Place in Camden.
The wreath laying will be followed by a showing of the Camden County World War II Veterans History project video, which captured first hand reports of local veterans’ war experiences in conjunction with the Rutgers Oral History Archives.

The second installment of The Voices of Camden County’s Veterans: World War II in the Pacific features Eugene Cabral, US Navy, of Runnemede; Ervin Leshner, US Army Air Forces, of Voorhees; Pearl Drelich, US Navy. of Voorhees, Simon Zayon, US Navy, of Cherry Hill; Carlo J. Ginobile, US Army Air Forces, of Atco; and, J. Domer Zerbe, Jr., US Army, of Cherry Hill.
“Each year we gather to honor those who served and lost their lives at Pearl Harbor on the fateful day that threw the U.S. into World War II,” Camden County Freeholder Ed McDonnell, liaison to the Camden County Office of Veterans Affairs, said. “The Freeholder Board invites all county residents to the Battleship to reflect on the contributions of the men and women, past and present, who have faithfully served our nation.”

Norcross will deliver the keynote speech.
The Eastern Regional High School Band will perform patriotic selections as part of the event.
The event is free and open to the public.
