“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families as we announce 14 additional tragic deaths due to COVID-19 in our community,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “The governor announced during his press conference earlier today that low case figures throughout the state are at least partially due to the state’s temporary inability to receive electronic reporting data from a private laboratory. Even as we show incredible progress in this fight, we have to remain focused in order to sustain it. Additionally, as other states continue to report record levels of new coronavirus cases, we must resolve to prevent those outbreaks from spreading and taking hold in our region as well. Wear a mask, social distance, and consider quarantining when returning from a state where an outbreak is occurring. If we follow these simple guidelines, we will continue to see fewer and fewer new cases each day.”
