Officials To Provide Update On Camden County Coronavirus Response

Officials will give an update on the county's coronavirus response Thursday, after the county reported the fewest new cases since March.

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Rep. Donald Norcross (D-1) will join Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. to provide an update on the county’s coronavirus response on Thursday.

The address will be streamed live on Camden County’s Facebook page and at camdencounty.com/live. The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. The address comes after Camden County reported the fewest number of new coronavirus cases since March on Tuesday.

“Although the governor announced yesterday that the stay-at-home order in New Jersey has been lifted, this pandemic is still a long way from over,” Cappelli said. “While this is welcome news for all of us, the loosening of these restrictions means that the virus will be able to spread rapidly again if we let our guards down. Until we have a reliable vaccine and treatment, we must continue to keep ourselves separated via social distancing, wear a mask or face cover when in public, and practice good hand hygiene to prevent contracting or spreading coronavirus.”
