Partial Truck Ban in Place on Walt Whitman Bridge

There is a partial truck ban in place on the Walt Whitman Bridge Monday night due to high winds, according to 511nj.org.

Empty tractor trailers are currently prohibited from crossing as wind gusts were expected to reach 45 mph Monday night.

The truck ban is in addition to a speed limit restriction currently in place on the Walt Whitman, Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross bridges.

The speed limit on the Walt Whitman and Ben Franklin bridges has been reduced to 35 mph. The speed limit on the Betsy Ross Bridge has been reduced to 25 mph.
