HADDONFIELD, NJ — A person was hospitalized Wednesday after getting struck by a PATCO train approaching Haddonfield Station.

An eastbound train hit the person on the tracks at 11:10 a.m., officials told Patch.

The person was brought to the hospital. Their condition is unknown as of early Wednesday afternoon, according to a spokesperson for the Delaware River Port Authority, which operates the PATCO Speedline.

Their identity has not been disclosed.

There's been no word about how they got onto the tracks. The incident is under investigation.

Trains may have "minor residual delays" in both directions, PATCO announced around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Haddonfield station has a separate track for Atlantic City Line trains. But NJ Transit isn't reporting any delays on the Atlantic City Line as of early Wednesday afternoon.
