Phils Beat Braves With First Combined No-Hitter Ever
It was only the 12th no-hitter in franchise history.

Four Phillies pitchers on Monday threw the franchise’s first-ever combined no-hitter to beat the Braves, 7-0.
Cole Hamels, Jake Diekman, Ken Giles and Jonathan Papelbon were the four Phillies pitchers who came together for the first combined no-hitter in 132 years, The Philadelphia Inquirer said. It was only the 12th overall no-hitter ever, the Inquirer said.

The last time there was a combined no-hitter in Major League Baseball was June 8, 2012, the Inquirer said, when six pitchers from the Seattle Mariners did it. So it’s a big deal not just for the Phillies, but for baseball as a whole.
