Police Investigate Fatal Shooting In South Jersey

Police found 35-year-old Saiheed Obryant, of Camden, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds late Wednesday night, He died soon after.

Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place in Camden late Wednesday night. Camden County Police found 35-year-old Saiheed Obryant, of Camden, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near 10th Street and Lansdowne Avenue.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 11:16 p.m. Police found him after they initially responded to a Shotspotter activation in the area of Hunter Drive in the Crestbury Apartment Complex in Camden at about 10:55 p.m., followed by a report of a person who had been shot.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests had been made as of Thursday afternoon.
