Police Investigate Fatal Shooting of South Jersey Man

A man was shot multiple times in Paulsboro just after 11 p.m. Sunday night.

A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in Paulsboro on Sunday night, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Monday.

John Gardner, of Paulsboro, was shot multiple times on the 1300 block of Pine Street just after 11 p.m. He was pronounced dead around midnight at Inspira Hospital, Woodbury.

The homicide is under investigation by the Paulsboro Police Department and the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. No suspect was in custody as of Monday morning.
