The State of New Jersey finally answered the call in July 2023 when a $5 million budget line was given to the borough for the purchase and retrofit of the old Bank of America building.

In March 2024, federal funds of $500,000 also came in from the United States Department of Agriculture's community facilities program.

Local leaders then broke ground in October 2025 on the new facility.

Former Mayor Bianco Bezich called the project and its backing "evidence of a partnership and shared commitment to improving the safety of Haddonfield and the region, creating a visible presence in the community, and a facility that meets 21st-century policing standards."

The prior headquarters along Kings Highway was housed in a building that was more than 100-years-old.
