A pair of Halloween festivals inspired by Harry Potter highlights this week's list of things to do in South Jersey. Check out some more events for this weekend, courtesy our friends at Visit South Jersey:

Pitman Potter Festival

Uptown Pitman

The magic of the Wizarding World arrives this fall for the first Pitman Potter Festival! The festival kicks off on Friday with a showing of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone at the Broadway Theatre of Pitman and continues on Saturday with a variety of activities for all ages. Guests can participate in a sorting ceremony, take a defense against the dark arts class, and enjoy tons of magical entertainment. Many Pitman businesses are joining in the fun and offering themed menus, activities, and items. The Pitman Gallery and Art Center will be hosting a themed Harry Potter exhibit and planning some enchanting Saturday evening entertainment.

Electric Halloween Festival

Electric Halloween is a music and camping festival deep inside of Southwind Vineyards! Spend the night if you dare and partake in the Halloween spirit by decorating your campsite. There will be all genres of music for everyone to enjoy! During the daylight hours there will be traditional Halloween activities such as face painting, pumpkin carving, tarot card readings, plus different workshops and games.

Thriller Night at Moorestown Mall

Moorestown Mall, Moorestown

Join the Moorestown Mall for thrilling activities throughout the mall. There will be trick or treating with local businesses and 95.7 Ben-FM, an outdoor movie screening of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and a live reenactment of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video. There will also be takeout and drink specials at local restaurants.

Food Truck Friday

Haunted Haddonfield Walking Tours
October 20 & 21 | 7 PM
Greenfield Hall, Haddonfield

Embark on a walking tour of old Haddonfield as local author William Meehan Jr. shares ghost stories and legends from his popular paperback, “Haunted Haddonfield.” The hour-long tour begins at Greenfield Hall and winds past the cemetery and homes along the way. Tours benefit the Historical Society of Haddonfield and the Public Library. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. If you can’t make it out this weekend there are additional tours planned for October 27 and 28.

Mullica River Paddle

Pinelands Adventures, Shamong

Take a three hour trip down the Mullica River from Atsion Lake Dam to Beaver Dam with guide and naturalist John Volpa. Participants will learn about Pine Barrens habitats, history, plants, and animals. This is a great trip for families, scout, and groups!

Barnyard Bash

Coombs Barnyard is celebrating Peachy the pig every Saturday in October! Come visit the barnyard for hayrides, pumpkin picking and decorating, animal visits, and barrel train rides! For the first time ever, there will also be a corn maze!

Bordentown RiverFest

RiverFest is a family friendly event that features live music all day, more than fifteen restaurants on site, unique craft vendors, and a free kids area with bounce attractions, magicians, and face painters. There will be a four acre beer garden with over twelve beers on tap, as well as wine. Parking is free and there will be shuttle services from three offsite locations.

This is Jessie Creek Winery’s favorite time of the year because the harvest season has come to an end and it’s time to kick back and relax! Bring the family and the fur babies to catch the sunset, enjoy the crisp fall air by the bonfire, and go for a hayride around the vineyard, all while you sip on some yummy, warm, mulled wine. 34th Annual Cranberry Festival

The Cranberry Festival is a celebration of New Jersey's cranberry harvest and is a tribute to the Pine Barrens and local culture. The main attraction is a diverse group of local artists and craftsmen showcasing their work. Some crafters will be demonstrating how their crafts are made and having them up for sale. Jonas Cattell Memorial Run

The 48th Annual Jonas Cattell Memorial Run commemorates Jonas Cateell’s warning Fort Mercer of an attack on October 22, 1777. The 10-mile race begins at Merchant Steet and Kings Highway in Haddonfield and ends in Red Bank Battlefield in National Park. Awards will be presented to male and female winners in all divisions.

18th Century Field Day
