Red Cross Blood Drive In Haddonfield Set For Nov. 2

The American Red Cross is soliciting blood donations from residents as flu season gets underway.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive in Haddonfield next month as flu season gets underway. The blood drive will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Haddon Fire Company No. 1, 15 North Haddon Avenue

One way to maintain health is to get a flu vaccine each fall, the Red Cross reminds residents. There is no waiting period to give blood or platelets after receiving a flu shot as long as the donor is symptom-free and fever-free.

Those who have the flu should wait until they no longer exhibit flu symptoms, have recovered completely and feel well before attempting to donate. Donors must feel healthy and well on the day of donation.
