Reportedly Negative Toxicology Report Adds to Mystery in 3-Year-Old Boy's Death

Attorney Richard Fuscino told philly.com the toxicology reports have come back negative.

The toxicology results in the case of a 3-year-old Haddon Township boy who was found dead on Oct. 13 have come back negative, philly.com reports.

Richard Fuschino, the attorney representing the boy’s father, told the newspaper he confirmed this through the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

“We are continuing to conduct an exhaustive investigation into the death of 3-year-old Brendan Creato,” Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Spokesperson Andy McNeil told Patch when reached for comment on Tuesday. “We have no further comment at this time.”

If the results are negative, this means that there were no drugs or chemicals involved in Brendan Link Creato’s death.

However, it also means there is still no conclusive cause of death, adding to the mystery that has developed over the last three weeks.

The mystery includes the appearance of a man walking a stroller covered in a blanket in the area, two hours before Brendan Link Creato’s body was found.

A mysterious “trailer” made by the boy’s father, DJ, and DJ’s younger sister, Sarah, has surfaced online, depicting a missing boy, according to multiple reports. At the end of the trailer, it is revealed the boy is dead. It was allegedly made for a college class, but it wasn’t clear when.

Early on in the investigation, David Creato’s 17-year-old girlfriend, Julia Spensky, said via Tumblr that she was concerned she might be a suspect in a “homicide investigation,” according to phillyvoice.com. That posting has since been taken down, but the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said it was “aware of the posting.”

Police have already ruled out the possibility of a sexual assault, and said it doesn’t appear as though anyone broke into the home the night Brendan Creato went missing.

Creato’s body was found around 9 a.m. in a wooded area near Cooper River on Oct. 13. His father made a 911 call in which he said his son was missing when he woke up at 6 a.m.

The boy was staying with his father on Monday night, Oct. 12. He was last seen around 9:30 p.m. when his grandmother dropped him off at Creato’s house on the 100 block of Cooper Street.

Fuschino, has said Creato is not a suspect.
