Roaring 20s Speakeasy At Camden County College This Fall

There will be live entertainment and dance lessons. Those who dress in 1920s costumes have a chance to win a prize.

From 1920 to 1933, Americans couldn’t legally buy alcoholic drinks. Of course, that doesn’t mean alcohol didn’t flow freely from certain taps. At that time, speakeasies popped up all over the country. Once prohibition ended, speakeasies disappeared, but almost 100 years later, one is coming back.

Camden County College presents a Roaring Twenties Speakeasy on Friday night, Oct. 13, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. in the Connector Building on the Blackwood Campus, 200 College Drive in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.

There will be live entertainment and dance lessons. Those who dress in 1920s costumes have a chance to win a prize. Tickets are $55, and include food, beverage and a ticket for two drinks (must be 21 or older). To buy tickets, click here.
