Sidewalks Coming To Parts Of Haddon Heights

The streets getting the sidewalks are near schools, the Camden County commissioners said.

HADDON HEIGHTS, NJ — Haddon Heights recently received a $1.2 million grant to construct sidewalks in several borough locations, the Camden County Commissioners said.

The grant will cover the cost of constructing continuous sidewalks near Atlantic Avenue Elementary School, Glenview Avenue Elementary School and Seventh Avenue Elementary School, according to the county commissioners.

"Here in Camden County, we are always searching for ways to improve operational sustainability, shrink our carbon footprint and boost the quality of life for our residents," said Camden County Commissioner Louis Cappelli Jr. "Receiving these funds to enhance travel options countywide will help propel this mission forward in a big way."
