Social media primer and a new public relations class are part of the offerings now at Haddonfield Adult School

Are you clueless about social media? Or are do you know a little, but want to learn more?

Haddonfield Adult School may have the answer in a new class called “A Social Media Primer” The new class will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, and is open to the public.

The instructor is Cheryl Squadrito, owner of Media Friendly Public Relations and former journalist for the Courier-Post and The Philadelphia Inquirer. She is also an adjunct professor in the Strategic Communications department at Temple University in Philadelphia.

“Many people want to know how to use social media for marketing purposes while some just want to get started.,” Squadrito says. “I want this class to help people understand how to use social media effectively, rather than just sharing videos of funny pets or pictures their lunches.”

Squadrito is also teaching a public relations class called “five things you need to know now about PR,” that will teach participants relevant communications skills such as how to write press releases and make media list. The class is good for all levels of public relations skills, so everyone will be able to execute the materials and apply them to his or her business strategies.

Anyone is eligible to register for classes at Haddonfield Adult School. Both classes are $20 each for residents, $23 for those not living in Haddonfield, and will be held in a school in the Haddonfield School District.
