During judging, Mike Haberland, associate professor and County Environmental Agent for Burlington and Camden Counties with Rutgers University Cooperative Extension will present a program "Rain Gardens for Homeowners".Rain gardens are specifically designed to soak up rain water, mainly from roofs, but also from driveways, patios, other impervious surfaces. Rain gardens look like regular flower gardens but when it rains, a rain garden fills with a few inches of water and allows the water to slowly filter <a rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank" href></a>into the ground rather than running off into storm sewers.
