Suspect Identified in Monday Night Camden Shooting Murder

Law enforcement officials are seeking the public's help in finding Eliot P. Knock, who has been charged with the murder of Nelson Jackson.

A Camden man has been identified as a suspect in the Monday night shooting death of 37-year-old Nelson Jackson.

Now, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson are seeking the public’s assistance in finding him.

Eliot P. Knock, 31, was charged with murder on Tuesday, and is being sought by a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. He is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Knock is accused of shooting Jackson multiple times on the 800 block of Haddon Avenue in Camden shortly before 6 p.m. Monday.

Jackson was taken to Cooper University Hospital and was pronounced dead at 7:16 p.m.

Anyone with information on Knock’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
