Suspected Car Burglar Captured In Haddon Township: Police
A Gloucester County man has been arrested in connection with a string of car burglaries in Haddon Township that took place on July 30.
HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Gloucester County man has been arrested in connection with several car burglaries that took place in Haddon Township on July 30, police said Wednesday night.
At about 2:25 a.m. that day, a Haddon Township police officer on patrol spotted a parked car that was unoccupied but had its interior lights on. Further investigation revealed that the car, and several others in the area, had been burglarized, police said.
Haddon Township police then deployed a special detail targeting anyone who may be involved in a series of property thefts and motor vehicle burglaries throughout the township.

Evan Fauntleroy, 19 of Swedesboro, was subsequently arrested on an outstanding warrant, police said. He matched the description of the man who had been caught on video surveillance in connection with the July 30 car burglaries, and was found to have items in his possession police believe were stolen from the cars, police said.
Fauntleroy was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending court appearances.

“The Haddon Township Police Department would like to remind and encourage residents to keep their vehicles locked at all times,” police said. “Removing the vehicle keys and other valuables is also strongly encouraged.”
