These Local School Administrators Earn $150K Or More

Two school administrators in Haddonfield and one in Haddon Township earn more than $150,000, information released by the New Jersey Department of Education shows.

The administrators are among the 1,552 on the department's list of superintendents and principals and their salaries released annually.

The local administrators, their salaries, years of service, and their rank on the list, are:

Superintendents and assistant superintendents:

• 369. Lawrence Mussoline, District Office, HADDONFIELD BORO, CAMDEN, 39, $174,689
• 716. Michael Wilson, Haddonfield Middle School, HADDONFIELD BORO, CAMDEN, 17, $153,240

Principals and Assistant Principals:

• 397. Gary O'Brien, Haddon Township High School, HADDON TWP, CAMDEN, 20, $160,266

The list has grown recently. Last year, fewer than 1,000 principals and superintendents made $150,000 annually. More teachers are earning six-figure salaries, too.

In 2018-2019, the median salary for administrators $123,923, according to a Patch analysis of salary data for public school districts and charter schools. The increase was less than 1 percent above the previous year's median salary.
