Each week Haddon Patch highlights a standout student-athlete or group of student-athletes.

Who: The Haddonfield girls’ tennis team

Accomplishment: Winning the Colonial Conference and Group 2 South
Jersey Championship.

How they did it: The Bulldawgs, didn’t just beat their competition, they steamrolled them. Haddonfield (27-0) did not drop a single match in the Group 2 Tournament and were never even close to doing so. In the final against No. 2 Barnegat, Haddonfield cruised to a 5-0 win with five, two-set wins. Taylor Ng (6-0, 6-1), Amanda Laciano (6-0, 6-0) and Victoria Martinez (6-0, 6-0) won at singles, while Erica Pascocello/Arpie Senopoulos (6-2, 6-1) and Chelsea Brown/Sylvia Strauss (6-0, 6-0) also took care of business.

Another title: Erica Pascocello and Arpie Senopoulos also won the state doubles championship.
