Twins Charged With Killing Man Allegedly Conspiring to Rob Them
A Gibbstown man and a Paulsboro woman have been charged in the conspiracy.

A Gibbstown man and a Paulsboro woman have been charged with participating in a conspiracy to rob a twin brother and sister, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office said on Friday. The twins are charged in connection with the death of the third person involved in the conspiracy.
The twins, Robert W. Springer and Jessica N. Springer, both 25, of Washington Township, have been charged in connection with the death of 30-year-old Gibbstown man Eddie Lee Warthen 4th. Warthen was hit by a car on May 18, 2014 on East Madison Street in Paulsboro.
He was pronounced dead at Cooper Medical Center in Camden.

Robert Springer, the alleged driver, was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon (a handgun), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution.
Jessica Springer is charged with tampering with evidence and hindering. Both remain in jail in default of bail.

Anthony D. Young Jr., 33, of Gibbstown, and Christine E. Demore, 29, were charged with conspiring with Warthen to rob the twins, according to complaints signed against both on April 10. They are also charged with committing robbery “while being armed with a .45 cal semi-automatic handgun,” according to the complaints.
Young was released from jail after posting $150,000 bail. Demore remains in jail. Her bail had been set at $250,000.
