Updated FEMA Flood Maps for Haddon Township Set for Public Review March 25
An Open House will take place in Pennsauken March 25.

Haddon Township residents will have the chance to learn all they need to know about the new Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) during an Open House in Pennsuaken March 25.
FEMA recently released updates to the maps in order to identify areas that have the greatest flood risk and are used by insurance companies to determine flood insurance rates, and lenders to determine flood insurance requirements.
Haddon Township is among the municipalities impacted in Camden County.

The Open House will take place at the Camden County Boathouse, 7050 North Park Drive in Pennsauken on March 25. No presentation will be made, so residents may attend the Open House any time between 4 p.m. and 8 pm. No appointment is required.
Representatives from the State, County, and FEMA and their mapping partners, will be available to answer flood risk and insurance questions, and explain the preliminary flood hazard maps, using interactive flood hazard maps.

FEMA recommends that anyone who may be impacted by the changes to the flood maps attend the Open House. This includes properties mapped within a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), newly mapped into an SFHA, and/or anyone who currently has flood insurance.
Anyone who is unsure of their flood risk is asked to refer to the Preliminary FIRMs which are available on the FEMA Map Service Center website, https://msc.fema.gov/portal.
They can also call the FEMA Map Information eXchange (FMIX) at 1-877-FEMA MAP (1-877-336-2627) or their local floodplain administrator or municipal building official.
Residents can also look up flood risks for their home by looking up their address in the “What’s my BFE” tool at www.region2coastal.com.
