Volunteers: An Opportunity to Make a Real Difference!

Holy Redeemer Hospice invites prospective volunteers to informational Open House on Monday, January 19th at Egg Harbor Township offices

Huntingdon Valley, PA— Holy Redeemer Hospice will host an informational Open House for prospective volunteers at its Atlantic County headquarters on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 19th, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. The offices are located at 6550 Delilah Road, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234. The program will include representatives and volunteers from Holy Redeemer’s Camden/Gloucester County, Atlantic County, Cape May County and Ocean County offices.

While Martin Luther King Day often finds people volunteering at one-time-only tasks, Holy Redeemer’s goal is to invite people to consider a more meaningful, long term commitment as a hospice volunteer, according to Jeanne Stoll, Holy Redeemer’s Volunteer Coordinator for Atlantic County.

“It takes a very special, compassionate person to become a hospice volunteer,” said Stoll. “Part of their role is to reflect Holy Redeemer’s underlying mission to care, comfort, and heal by working with the professional hospice team to provide companionship and support for both patients and their families.”

“Many of our volunteers tell me that they feel personally and spiritually rewarded as a result of the interactions they have and the relationships they develop,” said Stoll. “Our volunteers truly make a difference in the lives of patients and families, and often the reverse is true, as well.”

Holy Redeemer’s open house is planned to include opportunities to meet and speak with volunteers representing a range of activities, including:
