Wanted in South Jersey: Joseph Cox

Joseph Cox, 46, of Woodbury is wanted by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office for failure to appear in Superior Court, Woodbury on Oct. 29, Dec. 31 and Jan. 28 for pre-arraignment interviews on charges of forgery, burglary and theft.

Cox is described as six feet in height and 170 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair and a scar on his chest.

Cox is charged with allegedly cashing checks from Oxford House Hiddenway for $450 on May 8, and $550 on May 20 at a bank in Woodbury without Oxford House’s approval.

He was charged on June 24, 2014 and indicted on Oct. 14 on two counts of third-degree forgery and two counts of fourth-degree theft.

On June 27, 2014, a man reported to a Woodbury police officer one of his personal checks was cashed for $400 without his authorization at a bank in the city. On July 24, Cox was charged with cashing two stolen checks for $400 each on June 14 and June 27.

On Jan. 14, 2015, he was indicted on one count of fourth-degree theft and one count of fourth-degree forgery.

On Aug. 17, 2014, a Woodbury police officer was dispatched to Glover Street for a report of the theft of a contractor’s tools and copper pipe from a vacant property. Cox was charged with burglary and theft in connection with this crime following an investigation on Aug. 11.

On Dec. 17, 2014, he was indicted on charges of third-degree burglary and third degree theft by unlawful taking.
