Winter Weather May Cause Problems on the Road on Wednesday

A wintry mix may cause problems Wednesday morning, but the region is expected to escape the worst of the storm.

Mixed weather and dropping temperatures may cause some problems on the roads Wednesday morning.

Light to moderate rain currently falling across the region will include periods of heavy rain and possible sleet, and temperatures are expected to fall into the upper 30s to lower 40s, according to the National Weather Service out of Mount Holly.

Northeast winds are also expected to strike southern New Jersey, including Camden, Gloucester and Burlington counties.

While Burlington County is still expected to escape the worst of the 8 inches of snow expected to fall across the area on Wednesday and Thursday, projections for towns along the Delaware River have increased to between 2 and 4 inches of snow, according to the Burlington County Times.

The rest of the region is expected to accumulate less than an inch of snow, with 1-2 inches possible for other parts of Burlington County.
