Woman Killed, Suspect Sought In South Jersey Shooting: Prosecutor

Officials are investigating a Saturday morning shooting in a South Jersey borough that left a 28-year-old woman dead.

LAWNSIDE, NJ — A woman was found shot dead Saturday morning, officials said, and Camden County detectives are searching for the suspect.

Lawnside police and emergency medical services responded to an address in the 100 block of Mouldy Road at 4:07 a.m. and found a woman who had been shot, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Lawnside Police Captain William Plenty.

First responders pronounced the victim, 28-year-old Michelle Cruz of Lawnside, dead at the scene according to MacAulay and Plenty.
