HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ — Residents looking to dispose of unwanted paperwork have another opportunity as Hasbrouck Heights has rescheduled its free paper shredding event.
According to a borough announcement, the event will now take place Sunday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Avenue parking lot.
However, residents should plan accordingly, as shredding services will end at 1 p.m. or earlier if the truck reaches capacity.
The free shredding event is open to all Hasbrouck Heights residents. Residents can bring three to five paper grocery bags or boxes of confidential documents, with each bag weighing no more than 10 pounds.
The event is drive-up only, and residents should remain in their vehicles until their turn. Staples and paper clips are permitted, but binder clips and batteries must be removed.
The paper shredding event is sponsored by Atlantic Coast Recycling.
