Aviators Make it Back-to-Back Wins

Heights boys hoops stuns Becton

Hasbrouck boys varsity team moved closer to the .500 mark this week after victories over Becton at home on Tuesday and Harrison on the road on Thursday.

With the two wins the Aviators raised its record to 7-8 in the season with Heights looking to get to .500 at home against Glen Rock on Friday night.

The Aviators stunned the Wildcats on Tuesday to the tune of 60-40 and in turn knocked Becton out of contention for the Bergen County Jamboree this weekend.

Heights had three players in double figures led by Joe Crabbe with 19 points while Allen Ernst and Gabe Toledo added 11 points each in the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Meadowlands crossover game.

In the victory over Harrison on the road, Crabbe deposited a season-high 33 points to lead the Aviators to an easy 83-55 victory over the Blue Tide.

Crabbe led 10 Heights players on the scoring sheet as the junior hit six, three-point buckets. Toledo added 18 points for the Aviators.
