Hasbrouck Heights Lottery Winners To Purchase Dream Home On HGTV New Year's Day
Joseph Ianiro and John Opaluch won the Cash4Life game in November 2014.

New Jersey’s first Cash4Life top prizewinners, Joseph Ianiro and John Opaluch from Hasbrouck Heights, will be featured on the HGTV show, “My Lottery Dream Home” airing today 10 a.m.
Host David Bromstad will take the New Jersey Lottery winners on the hunt for their new dream home. Ianiro and Opaluch won the top Cash4Life prize of $1,000 a day for life from the Nov. 13, 2014 drawing. The couple opted for the cash prize of approximately $5 million after taxes.
“We want to show the world that we are just normal everyday people who won the lottery. We are just two guys living in a neighborhood,” Ianiro said. “When you win the lottery you don’t have to spend it all. We wired all of the money to our financial advisor and told her that we want to retire but still receive the same income as when we were working.”

Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery executive director said that it’s refreshing that Ianiro and John Opaluch can show the public that winning the Lottery doesn’t change people’s intrinsic values or sense of fiscal responsibility.
“ In fact, the Lottery winners that I have had the honor and pleasure of meeting are typically responsible, hard-working people who just got lucky,” Hedinger said. “Their dreams are simply to live a happy life without financial struggles.”
