The Board of Education is expected to appoint a board attorney at Thursday's meeting.
The board recently held a special executive session to interview candidates for the position.
Due to recent needs for special education counsel, the board may decide to appoint an attorney who specializes in this area, according to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Porto.
The meeting will take place at 8 p.m. in the high school media center.
