A Day In The Life Of A Writer
Writing isn't as simple as it may sound. There is rewriting and I mean more than one rewrite. If it's all that work then why do I do it? I love to tell a story.
Monday mornings come fast for me. This Monday morning is no exception. My day begins with reading for a bit. I find this helps me to focus on my writing,
but then again I have always been an avid reader.
At some point, I start writing. I am currently working on my second book and
a short story. My mind also gets going on what I’ll blog about for the next week. This is the time I have to start to focus on one thing . . . usually I start with my book.
Around 1 p.m., I’m ready for a lunch break, which also coincidentally is time for the soaps!
Okay, I admit it. . . I love the soaps!
Back to writing. I continue on my book or maybe pick up my short story or perhaps even start my blog! I do my best work listening to music. I love country music and try to find a song that helps me with whatever I am writing. Hopefully the phone doesn’t ring! I seem to do my best work at this time, so I try to limit the interruptions.
After dinner, I try to relax and unless I have a great idea for a scene I’m re-working, I don’t write. It’s time for me!
